Pink Dreams

Whispering your name into the pillows
She's still dreaming; up in the clouds
Walkin' in thin air, thinkin' she's flying
With wings frail as a butterfly's.
Her own wit still denying

She saw an angel and that was you
Love was but a naked night's ecstasy
A sweaty dream drenched in beads of passion
Of two souls that craved for intimacy

Can't go to that corner of my heart
Memories still hangin on the walls
Clinging to every piece of you
Gotta lock the room And throw away the key

Changing faces, broken threads
Then you heard something crush and saw someone rush
Maybe twas a heart, maybe it was me
Time to wear those wings
Cuz this emptiness now stings

On your shoulder,my tears have drained
You hugged me close till my fears subsided.
Close your fingers into mine and never let go
Hold me tight, hear my soul bellow

Cant see the sun rise on our night
So rock me to sleep, before you take your flight
To wake up in the dream again,
Where these memories will my slumber efface
And I open my eyes to see your beautiful face
